Supply Technologies VP to Lead Industry Workshop at FSTNR Week 2026
Supply Technologies' Vice President of Technical Services, Darlene Collis, will deliver an industry workshop on the evolving regulatory landscape facing the fastener sector at FSTNR Week 2026, one of North America's leading fastener industry events.
Taking place at Chicago's Navy Pier from 30 August to 2 September, FSTNR Week is organised by the Mid-West Fastener Association (MWFA) and brings together manufacturers, distributors, suppliers and industry experts from across the fastener supply chain.
This year's event marks the association's 80th anniversary and includes educational sessions, networking events, specialist training programmes and the 44th MWFA Fastener Show.
Darlene's workshop, Regulatory Updates Impacting the Fastener Industry, will explore two of the most significant compliance challenges currently facing the sector: the EU's Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) and the transition away from PFAS (per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances) in industrial applications. Attendees will gain practical insight into forthcoming regulatory changes, potential cost implications and the steps businesses can take to prepare.
Darlene joined Supply Technologies in May 2026 and brings more than three decades of experience in fastener manufacturing, coatings, regulatory compliance and supply chain management. A recognised industry expert, she is a Certified Fastener Specialist (CFS), a regular speaker at industry association events and a contributor to leading fastener publications.
Drawing on experience gained from both the supplier and distribution sides of the industry, she will provide attendees with a practical perspective on how regulatory requirements are impacting manufacturers, distributors and customers alike.
Darlene Collis said: "The regulatory landscape continues to evolve at pace, and businesses across the fastener industry need clear, practical guidance to help them navigate what's coming next. CBAM and PFAS regulations have significant implications for global supply chains, compliance requirements and long-term planning. FSTNR Week provides an excellent opportunity to share knowledge, discuss emerging challenges and help companies prepare for the changes ahead."
Supply Technologies will be represented throughout FSTNR Week, reinforcing its commitment to helping customers manage increasingly complex regulatory and technical requirements while maintaining resilient, compliant supply chains.
